Product description

The PU Pro Wrinkle Black is a powder coating powder made of polyurethane with a coarse structure in a matt / satin gloss level.
The finish is often found on valve covers and gives the engine a rough and powerful look.
The powder has a relatively high flow temperature and is therefore ideal for engine parts up to 250°C such as engine blocks, valve covers, cooling water pipes, intake manifolds, etc.
Not suitable for exhaust manifolds and turbo parts under difficult operating conditions
You can increase the gloss level to high gloss by finishing it with acrylic gloss clear varnish . You also increase the color strength of the black.

Color intensity and choice of background

The intensity of the glaze varies depending on the surface. The thickness of the layer also influences the color tone - the thicker the glaze, the more intense the color. Test the combination on a sample sheet to achieve the desired result.

Application

The PU Pro Wrinkle Black is suitable for the electrostatic (corona) and tribo process . Make sure it is processed correctly to achieve optimal adhesion and the desired effect.

Characteristics:

• This powder is based on a polyurethane resin
• The material is TGIC and heavy metal free

Powder coatings based on polyurethane resins are characterized by their high weather resistance as well as their good mechanical and chemical properties, such as acid, chemical and solvent resistance.

Pretreatment

Remove grease, oil, scale and oxidation from the surface for better adhesion.

Recommendation for outdoor use

After the primer has baked, the PU Pro Wrinkle Black can be applied. Use several layers, e.g. primer + wrinkle .
