Description
Shelf life of the paint stripper
When used correctly, our cold paint remover does not have to be replaced for years, but only cleaned and/or sharpened depending on the paint removal interval and the number of rims.
stripping time
The paint removal time in our offered and used pools for four rims is usually between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
The paint removal time is mainly influenced by the materials with which the rims were previously coated.
Mixing ratio of base and activator
The optimum mixing ratio in liters of the paint stripper is 90% Cold Remover base agent and 10% Booster.
Calculation example: 200 liters of Remover and 20 liters of Booster for full efficiency
Number of stripped rims with one filling
A large number of rims is possible, since the paint stripper is usually not exchanged for years. An exact amount can largely be determined by the paint removal interval.
Our experience in continuous operation with our offered paint removal tanks with a capacity of 360 liters is as follows:
After approx. 1,000 rims have been stripped of paint, sharpening is necessary first (approx. 150 kg Cold Remover + 25 l Booster).
Instructions in case of drop in efficiency:
The efficiency usually decreases with the fill level. So that the optimal effect can be achieved again, only the basic agent "Cold Remover" has to be refilled and, if necessary, sharpened with our "Booster".
You can therefore make an adjustment yourself at any time.
Available Quantities
• from 100 kg
• up to 1000 kg IBC container
•1 liter corresponds to 1.33 kg
Material impairments
Our wheel rim stripper is based on methylene chloride, contains alkaline activators and therefore does not affect the surface finish of aluminium. When removing paint from magnesium rims or rims with a particularly high proportion of magnesium, we recommend keeping the paint removal times as short as possible (e.g. not overnight, at weekends, etc.).
possible uses
• Aluminum
• Steel
• Stainless steel
• Magnesium (for short paint stripping times)
temperature for optimum efficiency
• Optimum effect from 12 °C
• Possible down to minus 15 °C, with a slight effect on the paint stripping time
Requirements for the paint stripping basin
No special basin is necessary.
Our recommendation: The paint removal tank specially developed by us with a stainless steel filter system and lockable lid for maximum effectiveness.
Instructions for use in closed rooms
A suitable ventilation system must be in place. Appropriate protective equipment (protective clothing and full face mask with fresh air supply) is also essential. We would be happy to advise you in detail on this.
Disposal Instructions
After the paint residue has dried, it can be properly disposed of with the residual waste. We recommend using a slag drum with a sieve to dry the slag.
The paint stripper does not usually have to be disposed of, as it can be used for many years if used correctly. If disposal is still necessary, you can commission a disposal company through us.
